Flowable is the agentic process automation and case management technology of choice for process-intensive enterprises and organizations with tough compliance. It puts your processes, people, and AI together in one unified platform.
As a fast-growing, global software company with big ambitions, we foster an entrepreneurial spirit and a culture of collaboration where talented people thrive and contribute to a fantastic work environment.
Join us as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer and help improve and scale Flowable Cloud. Flowable Cloud runs Flowable for customers worldwide, from shared multitenant environments to fully dedicated, isolated environments per customer. Many of these customers are in highly regulated industries with strict security and compliance requirements. You'll work closely with our Lead Cloud Architect: you help shape the architecture and own its implementation as reusable landing zones, Terraform modules and delivery pipelines. This is your chance to tackle complex infrastructure challenges and grow your expertise in Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes and AI-assisted engineering.
Design and build new architectures and improvements for Flowable Cloud on Microsoft Azure together with our Lead Cloud Architect, based on the Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) architecture: platform and application landing zones, networking, identity and shared services.
Develop reusable, versioned Terraform modules that form the baseline for all Flowable Cloud offerings.
Automate the provisioning and lifecycle of Flowable Cloud environments, making new environments faster and safer to deliver.
Improve how we run Flowable on AKS, including secure multi-tenant workloads, using GitOps with Argo CD, Helm and related Kubernetes tooling.
Translate security and compliance requirements (such as SOC 2) into concrete, automated platform controls, using Azure Policy and policy engines on Kubernetes.
Identify and deliver platform improvements in areas such as cost efficiency, reliability, upgrade automation and observability, from first proposal to rollout in production.
Shape technical decisions: write proposals and ADRs that lay out options and trade-offs, and help engineering leadership choose the right path.
Hand over what you build to our Cloud Operations team with clear documentation and runbooks, and use their feedback to improve the platform.
Use AI tooling like Claude Code to design, build and review infrastructure code.
You own your work: you take a design from the whiteboard to a tested solution running in production.
You are pragmatic: you know when a solution is good enough and when it needs more engineering, and you avoid over-engineering.
You work independently: given an architectural direction, you work out the details and deliver.
You've built and run a production platform on Microsoft Azure, including networking and identity: hub-spoke topologies, private endpoints, Azure Firewall, Front Door, Entra ID, managed identities and RBAC.
Experience with the Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) architecture, including platform landing zones (PLZ) and application landing zones.
Hands-on experience designing Terraform modules, including state management, versioning, testing and multi-environment setups.
Experience with GitHub Actions: reusable workflows, OIDC / workload identity federation, environments and approvals.
Production experience with Kubernetes (preferably AKS), including GitOps with Argo CD and Helm.
Experience with AI tools like Claude Code for infrastructure and automation work
Clear written communication in fluent English: you can explain a design and its trade-offs in a short proposal.
Experience with multi-tenancy on Kubernetes (namespace isolation, network policies, resource quotas, workload identity) is a strong plus.
Experience connecting Azure to customer networks in other clouds or onpremises (site-to-site VPN, BGP, private connectivity), and working knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud, is a plus.
Experience with policy engines on Kubernetes such as Kyverno or OPA Gatekeeper is a plus
Experience building Kubernetes operators (custom resources and controllers, for example with Go and kubebuilder) is a plus.
Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is a plus.
You will enjoy flexible working hours, training, and home-office possibilities. However, we think these are the most interesting advantages of working at Flowable:
Shape a growing cloud platform: Improve and expand the cloud offering of a worldwide-known automation platform used by leading international organizations, where your designs directly shape how we deliver our product.
Our company culture: Thrive in a professional, expert-driven environment with direct communication, flat hierarchies, and the freedom to share ideas and take ownership, supported by engaging team activities.
Career growth: Grow your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, dynamic company, with opportunities to learn intensively while the business expands.
